Clare Gangadeen - Sports Therapist

Clare Gangadeen - Sports Therapist at the Fairbourne Clinic

Deep Tissue/Sports Massage is often seen as a corrective therapy but prevention is better than cure! Regular massage will release tension and restore balance to the musculoskeletal system, which in turn could help avoid injuries.

Tension can arise from every day activities like sitting at a desk, carrying your handbag on one shoulder, driving a lorry, carrying children and demanding labour jobs. If left untreated, unbalances can develop causing more strain and tension on other parts of your body.

With over 10 years experience in the fitness industry, fully insured and registered with REPS and the SMA, I utilise all of my knowledge, experience and skills to provide massage to address any muscular issues you may have.

Neck, Back and Shoulder Massage
Encourages relaxation, releasing stress, improving circulation and posture, relaxing muscles and relieves tension headaches. You will feel completely relaxed and the muscle tension greatly reduced. Pressure will be adjusted to client’s requirements.

Deep Tissue Massage
A full body massage which is similar to Swedish massage, but the deeper pressure is beneficial in releasing chronic muscle tension. The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia (the protective layer surrounding muscles, bones and joints).

Please note that if you have any specific areas of concern, which need attention, a Sports Massage would be more appropriate so focus can be specifically given.

Sports Massage
Sports Massage is an integral part to training and fitness for so many reasons but mainly to prevent injury, assisting in the recovery process and aid muscle relaxation.

Massage Duration
Massages are also available as 1.5 hours sessions as some clients prefer longer sessions.
