Ayurveda at the Fairbourne Clinic

Ayurveda Specialist: Dr. Pandit,

What is Ayurveda?

Ayurveda is an ancient healing science that has its origin in Vedic culture and was most profoundly developed in India.  Ayuh means life and veda means knowledge in Sanskrit.

The scope of knowledge in  Ayurveda includes the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of the individual and how these aspects interact with the environment.  Healing occurs when imbalances in the body are restored to balance with a variety of therapies.

Common therapies include, diet, lifestyle changes, herbal medications, massage and pancha karma (in-depth body purification techniques).

Ayurveda differs from traditional Western allopathic medicine because it looks at the whole person in their environment in order to restore health.

The Fairbourne Clinic offers a wide range of therapies by fully qualified therapists in quiet surroundings at affordable rates.
