Annie Martin
Annie Martin graduated with a Master’s degree in osteopathy (M.Ost), which she completed at the European School of Osteopathy in 2024.
Annie’s journey into osteopathy began long before she became a practitioner. As a child, she saw her younger sister suffer an injury and experienced first-hand how osteopathy helped her recover and return to a normal, active life. That experience stayed with Annie and sparked a genuine love for osteopathy and the difference it can make to people’s lives. During her studies, she had the opportunity to gain experience in the specialist clinics at the European School of Osteopathy, including cranial osteopathy, visceral osteopathy, headaches, pregnancy and babies and the sports clinic. She is also a Level 3 certified Sports Massage Therapist, allowing her to incorporate a range of hands-on techniques depending on each person’s individual needs and goals.
Annie enjoys treating people of all ages and working with a wide variety of concerns. Her approach is centred around listening to each patient, understanding the bigger picture and creating a treatment plan that is tailored to the individual rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.
I am particularly interested in understanding pain and how it can affect the whole body, movement, wellbeing and quality of life, especially when pain becomes persistent or chronic. Annie’s biggest passion is finding the root cause of pain and having a holistic approach to each patient. She regularly attends CPD (Continuing Professional Development) courses throughout the year to continue developing her knowledge and bring the latest learning into her clinical practice.
Since becoming a mother, Annie has developed an even greater interest in supporting mothers, mothers-to-be and babies. She hopes to continue attending specialist courses in this area so that she can further develop her skills and support women through pregnancy, preparation for birth and the postpartum period, as well as providing appropriate care for babies. Annie also has a developing and keen interest into supporting golfers, whether it is treating injuries sustained by golf or helping to improve mobility to achieve higher a higher performance level.
Whether you are looking for help with a new niggle, an ongoing problem, support with your sporting activities, or simply want to better understand your body and movement, Annie aims to provide a welcoming, professional and individualised experience.
Most importantly, she wants her patients to feel listened to, comfortable and involved in their care. Her goal is not simply to treat a symptom, but to help you understand your body, support your recovery and work towards getting you back to the things you enjoy.
