Lorna Rhodes
UK Registered Nutritional Therapist and Nutrigenomics Practitioner | Dip ION, mBANT, rCNHC
As a Nutritional Therapist at Nutrition Dynamics, I specialise in helping individuals optimise their well-being and overcome chronic and everyday health challenges. This can cover anything from autoimmune conditions, hormone dysregulation eg thyroid, to supporting everyone through the natural ageing process to achieve longevity with good health. I do this by focusing on the gut as the foundation of overall health, as this is often the root cause of chronic illness. Many clients seek help with conditions such as IBS, IBD, food sensitivities, skin issues, weight loss resistance, long Covid /fatigue, low mood, and depression.
Through a personalised, science-led approach, I integrate GP and private blood testing, gut microbiome analysis, nutrigenomics, and other functional diagnostics to uncover the root causes of health concerns. I then create tailored nutrition and lifestyle plans, combined with habit change support to help clients improve both lifespan and healthspan—enhancing not just how long they live, but how well they feel.
Let’s connect and start the journey to better health!
What is Nutritional Therapy ?
Nutritional Therapy is the application of nutrition and health science to individuals to maximise their health potential. I use a wide range of tools to identify nutritional imbalances and understand how these may contribute to your symptoms and health concerns. Many other factors are also considered, including possible food allergies or intolerances, lifestyle and environmental influences.
Nutritional Therapy is recognised as a complementary medicine and is relevant for individuals with chronic conditions, as well as those looking for support to enhance their health and wellbeing.
Practitioners never recommend nutritional therapy as a replacement for medical advice. I will never suggest that you to stop taking a medication without consulting with your GP or consultant. I always check for any possible drug-nutrient interactions before recommending changes to diet or use of supplements. I will always refer any client with ‘red flags’ or symptoms to their medical provider. With the client’s permission, I may wish to confer with other healthcare professionals involved with the client’s care to explain any programme that has been provided.
I offer both nutrition and wellbeing advice for you to discover the root cause of your health concern and inspire you optimise your health naturally. Fundamentally I combine a network approach to complex systems, incorporating the latest science from genetic, epigenetic, diet and nutrition research to inform and individualise programmes.
