ABOUT EMMETT

The Emmett Technique is a unique body relaxation therapy involving the application of light finger pressure on specific points. It is based on the belief that light touch can trigger a relaxation response in the soft tissues of the body, and that the therapist may therefore help relieve feelings of tension. Many people find they feel more at ease within their body and emotional wellbeing enhanced. Emmett is truly complimentary therapy. It may be applied in isolation, but it also combines with bodywork and exercise specialities.

ABOUT ALESSANDRA WILCOX

Alessandra qualified as an Emmett Technique Practitioner in 2018 and Advanced Practitioner in 2022.  In addition, she qualified as a Body Control PilatesÒ Instructor in 2003 She successfully completed a Level 4 back pain course and holds the following accreditations: Back4GoodÒ Practitioner, Level 4 Specialist Instructor, BackCare Professional. She has also completed training in Spinal Asymmetry and Scoliosis. 

 

Alessandra is passionate about supporting individuals overcoming musculoskeletal challenges with more than twenty years’ experience. She has a deep understanding of the importance of fascia for body structure and function. Alessandra first discovered Emmett after personally experiencing its profound benefits and the motivation to train as a practitioner.
